When an order is placed from a retailer (either via a terminal or other means), tickets are distributed to retailers through a distribution/courier company. All orders are packaged at the warehouse based on each retailer’s specific request. [Fig11. Ordering and packaging of Georgia]

In case where neither a sales system nor any terminal exists, such as in Korea, a regional office gathers all of the retailers’ orders and orders tickets. Then a distribution company packages and distributes them to its designated locations.

In case of draw tickets, extra security measures must be taken to prevent exposure of any sensitive ticket data as it is more vulnerable for ticket forgery. In case of instant tickets, serial numbers of the distributed tickets must not be exposed to both internal and external personnel in order to prevent winning ticket tracking activities.

Data encryption is utilized to secure the ticket distribution information to prevent tracing of winning tickets.
